The Ghana Youth Awards event is an initiative by WCAM Foundation, Roheen Media & Events-Africa. It aims at celebrating and honoring outstanding Ghanaian youth (in Ghana and abroad), who epitomize the qualities of entrepreneurship, leadership, social responsibility and national development. The scheme considers varied inputs into the selection and ultimate win, other than the usual popular voting. The Ghana Youth Awards places special emphasis on genuine hard work and community development.
The scheme has officially appointed Mr. James Korsah-Brown, a financial advisor with a very good background in abstract mathematics, finance, economics and international trade as the new Board Chairman. His appointment was in line with considerations of expanding and improving the current status quo, giving the scheme some good synergy with the diaspora and stakeholders accordingly. Mr Korsah-Brown was the former Board Chairman of 3 music Awards, championed and positioned the scheme as the best music award scheme in the medium term.
Mr. Korsah-Brown has led a lot of big-ticket transactions as a former banker, including but not limited to Perpendicular Jetty Syndication of US$80million, Agric and commodity financing in excess of US$50million and facilitated setting up of over One hundred and Twenty (120) companies in Ghana. His expertise in enterprise development, finance, international relation, corporate strategy, corporate governance etc. has successfully earned him the appointment to facilitate the reward system, aimed at improving the socio-economic performance of the youth in the country.
His appointment has received massive celebration by the populace in Mfantseman Constituency who see him as a selfless youth leader with the passion to serve his nation and community. This year’s event to be launched and eventually executed in December promises to have very good PR and synergy.
